On Monday (September 29th, 2003), two " religious" (Christian) sensationalists came up on to campus to make a scene and to be provocative. They wore these large signs and would heckle people as they walked by, telling them they were going to hell. Once in awhile a decent debate would come about, but for the most part it was all judgemental where the two assumed that everyone around them other than themselves were horrible sinners and were going to hell. These two did not come with religious intent, but with bigoted hatred for all. I am Christian and was embarassed, even disgusted, by them. Jesus' message is one of embracing love, not antagonistic and accusational debate.

From another photograph of mine, and from memory, I was able to compile part of what the other sensationalist's sign said:

People that watch TV more than Study the Bible

Money Lovers
Sex Perverts
AND MORMONS

I dislike bigots quite intensely. I also pity them for their ignorance.
Why can't we all just respect each other's beliefs?

These people are COMPLETE hypocrites!!!

Besides, who in the world knows what happens right after you die?

These people don't have the right to fore tell a person's destiny. What would they know of destiny? Nothing. They are scandalous, blind, bigoted, hypocritical people who obviously did not get Jesus' message.

I am glad that at least some Christians aren't all like those fundamentalists .

Man, I can't believe people would actually do that. I mean, that's just mean. That's insane!
Why is "MORMONS" in all caps? I'm not offended by that comment at all and find most of the rest quite repulsing. But still, why does all the other demonimations get an adjective? I personaly am pretty discusted by Jack Mormons. I don't know, maybe I feel insulted that we aren't worthy of and adjective. :shrug:

omg.. I totally agree with you. I'm Christian, and this is sickening. The complete opposite of what needs to be shown to the lost.
